Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
AthLynx is an identity network for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, coaches, clubs, academies, universities and sponsors. This policy explains, in plain English, what data we collect and how we use it during our MVP pilot.
What we collect
- Account data you provide: email, name, identity tags, and any profile fields you fill in.
- Content you create: posts, comments, reactions, messages, and uploads (avatar, cover, videos, certificates).
- Organizations you create or manage.
- Verification requests you submit (e.g. certificate, coach, video, custom sport).
- Basic technical data needed to run the service (auth tokens, timestamps).
How we use it
- To show your profile and content to people you've made it visible to.
- To power Discover, Feed, Messaging, and the AthLynx Score.
- To review verification requests you send to our admin team.
- To keep the service secure and reliable.
What's public, what's private
- Public profile fields (name, headline, location, avatar, public sport / coaching / achievement entries, approved verification badges) are visible to anyone.
- Private uploads, private profile sections, draft posts, messages, organizations marked private, and any pending or rejected verification requests are visible only to you (and the admin team where applicable).
- Your email and account identifiers are never exposed through public APIs.
Storage and security
Data is stored in our managed backend with row-level security. Uploaded files sit in private buckets and are served via signed URLs. We do not sell your data.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, change section visibility, delete uploads, leave organizations, or contact us to delete your account.
